Matchups, Schedule Set for 2024 Fort Myers Tip-Off

FORT MYERS, Fla. (July 10, 2024) – Matchups and game times have been announced for every game of the Fort Myers Tip-Off Beach and Palms Divisions, which will be held Nov. 25-27 at Suncoast Credit Union Arena on the campus of Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers, Fla.

The four Beach Division games, set for Nov. 25 and 27 will take place at 6 p.m. ET and 8:30 p.m. on both days, with FS1 providing nationally televised coverage of all four contests. Michigan will face Virginia Tech at 6 p.m. in the first semifinal on Nov. 25, with Xavier and South Carolina squaring off at 8:30 p.m. Third-place and championship contests will take place on Nov. 27.

In the Palms Division, Miami (OH) will take on Siena at 11 a.m. on Nov. 25 and will be followed by Jacksonville facing Mercer at 1:30 p.m. The teams will return to the court on Nov. 26 with the third-place game taking place at 11 a.m. and the championship game being held at 1:30 p.m. All Palms Division games will be streamed on FSWBucs.com.

The Westin Cape Coral at Marina Village and the Marriott Sanibel Harbour are the event’s host hotels and fans will have the opportunity to stay where the teams stay and experience resort life to the fullest. Ticket packages, based on availability, will go on sale this fall.

Major storylines surround each of these programs heading into the new season, including Xavier’s climb into numerous top 25 rankings this offseason, Dusty May’s first campaign at Michigan on the heels of a successful tenure at FAU, South Carolina looking to continue its momentum off a record-setting season a year ago and Virginia Tech welcoming numerous high-major transfers to a team that won 21 games last year. Additionally, first-year coaches at both Mercer and Siena bring new energy to those programs, while Jacksonville and Miami (OH) look to continue their climb in their respective leagues.

There will be significant momentum surrounding each of these teams once they arrive in Fort Myers during Thanksgiving Week. We’re looking forward to how they stack up when it’s time to get the games underway this November.”

Nationally recognized brands have also aligned themselves with the high-profile nature of the Fort Myers Tip-Off. Premium partners Old Trapper Beef Jerky, State Farm, Libman and more will be prominently featured via promotional signage, broadcast integrations and in-venue activations as part of the 2024 event.

The Fort Myers Tip-Off has established itself as one of the preeminent early season college basketball events on both the men’s and women’s calendars. For the third time, Intersport, owner and operator of the Tip-Off, will host the top men’s and women’s programs for a weeklong celebration of college basketball during Thanksgiving Week. In total 16 men’s and women’s games will be contested over a six-day period from Nov. 25-30. Eight men’s games across two divisions will lead off the schedule of events from Nov. 25-27 and will conclude with the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off Nov. 28-30 in an event headlined by three-time national champion South Carolina, along with perennial tournament powers Iowa State, Michigan, Purdue, Virginia Tech and MTSU, among others.
